The Miss Jim Bowie Days Pageant is a longstanding part of the Jim Bowie Days Rodeo Celebration, giving young women the opportunity to represent the Bowie community, promote rodeo, and carry on a legacy built on character, integrity, and western heritage.
If you’re planning to compete in 2026, here’s exactly what you need to know.
Important Dates You Cannot Miss
- May 31, 2026 – Entry Deadline (11:59 PM)
All applications, fees, and required materials must be submitted by this time. - May 31, 2026 – Optional Orientation Meeting (6:00 PM)
Held at the Community Center
(Strongly recommended for contestants and parents)
Divisions & Age Requirements
The pageant includes two divisions:
- Miss Jim Bowie Days
- Ages 14–21 (as of June 1, 2026)
- Little Miss Jim Bowie Days
- Ages 6–13 (as of June 1, 2026)
How to Enter
All contestants must submit the following:
- Completed application
- Copy of birth certificate
- Digital headshot (vertical, western attire)
- Printed 4×6 headshot (mailed)
- Signed liability waiver
- Entry fee + sponsor fee

Entry Requirements
- $50 Entry Fee (non-refundable)
- $100 Sponsor Fee
- Each contestant represents a sponsor during the pageant
What You’ll Be Judged On
Contestants will be evaluated across multiple categories:
- Horsemanship
- Interview
- Modeling
- Speech
- Impromptu Question
These areas are designed to showcase:
- Riding ability
- Personality
- Confidence
- Knowledge of rodeo and western lifestyle
Additional Requirement – Ticket Sales
Each contestant is required to:
- Sell 50 rodeo tickets (minimum)
- Earn bonus points for additional sales
This is part of representing and promoting Jim Bowie Days in the community.
