The Jim Bowie Days Rodeo and Celebration is bringing a brand-new event to the 60th Anniversary celebration in 2026 with the addition of the 1st Annual Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, June 20th at Pelham Park in Bowie, Texas.
This exciting new event will combine competition, community, wellness, and fun as teams gather for an afternoon of Round Robin pickleball action during one of North Texas’ most historic celebrations.
The tournament also comes at the perfect time for Bowie, following the recent dedication of the city’s new pickleball courts at Pelham Park. The new courts were welcomed with tremendous community support and a large crowd during the official dedication ceremony earlier this year, showing just how quickly the sport continues to grow in Bowie and across North Texas.
Players of Beginner and Intermediate skill levels are encouraged to participate, making this a great opportunity for experienced competitors and newcomers alike to get involved.
Tournament check-in begins at 1:00 PM with play starting at 1:30 PM.

- Community Fellowship & Fun
- Food and Positive Energy Throughout the Day
The tournament is also helping support a great cause. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Bowie High School Pantry, helping make a difference for local youth in the community.
