The 60th Annual Jim Bowie Days UPRA Rodeo is excited to welcome a new face to Bowie this year as nationally recognized PRCA entertainer and barrelman Jason Farley joins the rodeo production June 25-27, 2026.
Fans can expect plenty of laughs, crowd interaction, and high-energy entertainment between events, but Farley is much more than a funny man. In the rodeo world, he is known as one of the sport’s top barrelmen and a true professional when it comes to protecting bullfighters and helping manage dangerous situations in the arena.
When the action gets intense during bull riding, Farley doesn’t hesitate to take his barrel into harm’s way to distract a bull and create a safe escape route for bullfighters and cowboys. It’s a role that requires courage, timing, athleticism, and experience—and it’s one he has performed at the highest levels of professional rodeo.

A veteran of both PRCA and PBR events across the country, Farley has built a reputation for combining family-friendly comedy with some of the most fearless barrel work in professional rodeo.
When he’s not traveling the rodeo road, Jason lives in Fordland, Missouri, with his family, where they enjoy hunting, fishing, and working with their animals.
"I have the best job in the world," says Farley. "I love working the barrel, doing comedy, and making new friends wherever I go. I am truly blessed to get to do something I love."
Rodeo fans attending this year’s Jim Bowie Days UPRA Rodeo will have the opportunity to see Farley in action all three nights as he keeps the crowd entertained and helps make the rodeo experience memorable for the entire family.
The award-winning Jim Bowie Days UPRA Rodeo takes place June 25-27, 2026, at the Bowie Rodeo Arena as part of the week-long Jim Bowie Days celebration. Rodeo performances begin nightly at 8:00 p.m.
Adult tickets are $10, and children ages 6 and under are admitted free.
