Contest Categories & Evaluation Criteria
Interview – Knowledge of rodeo history, the Festival, and ability to represent the community.
Appearance & Poise – Western elegance, stage presence, and grace under pressure.
Horsemanship / Specialty Talent (if applicable) – Riding skills or talent that connects to western heritage.
Community Engagement – Volunteer efforts and connection with local fans and organizations.
Responsibilities of the Rodeo Queen
Serve as ambassador at Jim Bowie Days events, rodeos, parades, and community appearances.
Engage audiences with warmth, confidence, and knowledgeable conversation about the festival and its history.
