The countdown to the 60th Anniversary of Jim Bowie Days Rodeo and Celebration is officially on, and one of the first big events to hit the arena is the return of the Jim Bowie Days Rodeo Kick-Off Open 4D Barrel Race.
Set for Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Pelham Park Arena – 413 Pelham Street, Bowie, Texas, this event brings top barrel racers from across the region together to kick off rodeo week in a big way.
With $5,000 Added Money on the line, this race is expected to bring strong competition, fast horses, and a contestant battle for their share of the payout and a strong start to Jim Bowie Days week.

The Kick-Off Barrel Race features:
- $4,000 Added Open 4D – Entry Fee: $85
- $1,000 Added 3D High Stakes – Entry Fee: $250
