Cassidy Rae Thompson, better known as Cass, was born with cowboy boots on her feet and a rope in her hand. Growing up on a working cattle ranch in the shadow of Wyoming’s rugged mountains, Cass’s childhood was filled with the sounds of hooves on dirt and the thrill of the rodeo arena. By the time she was seven, she was already competing in local junior rodeos, quickly gaining recognition for her fearless spirit and her ability to handle even the toughest bulls.
At 20, she won the title of Miss Wyoming Rodeo, and within two years, Cass’s skills, charm, and dedication to the rodeo lifestyle earned her the prestigious title of Miss Rodeo America 2025. Known for her competitive edge and down-to-earth personality, Cass represents the future of rodeo queens: strong, passionate, and fiercely independent.
When she’s not dazzling the crowds with her rodeo expertise, Cass is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness in rural communities, where resources are often scarce. She speaks at schools and events, using her platform to share her own experiences of overcoming personal challenges and to inspire others to reach out for help when needed. Her commitment to this cause has earned her admiration both inside and outside the rodeo world.
Outside the arena, Cass is a skilled rancher, specializing in cattle breeding, and she’s often seen working alongside her father and younger brother on the family ranch. Her favorite pastime is riding her horse, Maverick, through the beautiful Wyoming landscape, where she finds peace and inspiration. With a heart as big as the mountains she calls home, Cass continues to inspire with her blend of fierce competition, heartfelt advocacy, and dedication to preserving the legacy of the rodeo.
